Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP)

Northamptonshire Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) is a working group made up of women, birthing people and families.

We bring together service users, staff and other stakeholders to plan, review and improve maternity and neonatal care, ensuring that service users’ voices are at the heart of decision-making.

Capturing the voice of families who have accessed maternity care in the past 3 years, we want to know:

  • what was good about your care
  • what made your experience poor
  • what could be improved
  • what you think works well

This information helps us to share with services, what they need to do to shape better, safer and more compassionate care. It is also about us providing positive feedback so that services know what works well. In providing your feedback or being a volunteer member of the MNVP, we can help make a difference.

The MNVP can be contacted by email ([email protected] ), via social media or at our face to face events across the county.

We also have an anonymous online feedback form which can be accessed here.

I am a Mummy to a happy ten month old little boy called Albert, who was born at Kettering general hospital in November 2024. We received fantastic care throughout our journey, from start to finish.

I understand that some people don’t have such a good experience & I feel that everyone’s voices should be heard. If you are a parent to be or have had a baby in the last three to four years, please come and have a chat as I’d like to hear as many voices as possible. The more voices heard, the better the outcome for everyone.

I am a mum of 2 beautiful boys Archie and Teddy. My first son was born during covid times so a very surreal experience and then my second boy who was born in 2024, ended up having a stay in NICU in both our main hospital and in a hospital transfer. I have lived in Kettering since I was born and live very close to Kettering General Hospital.

Being a first time mum in 2020 was hard, tough, daunting - but most of all it was the most rewarding thing ever. Then becoming a mum to a NICU baby was very different. Life became very different.

As I have gone through this experience myself, I hope I can understand and resonate with others and make sure their feelings and voices are being heard. I am here to listen and be your voice.

I have lived in the Kettering area now for 17 years ago, I have worked in childcare for 15 years and in February 2021 I welcomed my first child into the world, followed by my second born in 2023 both my children were born at Kettering General Hospital.  Since having both my children, I took a big interest in everything, pregnancy and postnatal related, and after my own experiences, I want to help improve the services for mums and partners to be.

I love meeting new and familiar faces, if you happen to pop into a group or you see me around I'd be more than happy to discuss any feedback, nothing is too big or small, positive or negative, I'd love to hear about it. All feedback I collect is anonymous, as I know sometimes giving personal information and opinions can be daunting, so please don't worry, we are here to listen.

I am Eno, and I have lived in Northampton since 2016.

My background is working with children from 3-18 years in a range of roles including a Nanny, Nursery Manager and Senior Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead at a local secondary school.

I had both of my children at Northampton General Hospital, and my experiences where extremely different as my daughter was born in April 2021 during the pandemic and my husband couldn't attend appointments with me, whereas my son born on May 2025 he could attend every appointment.

I had Gestational Diabetes in both pregnancies, which tailored my pregnancy experience and I am the first in my family to have the condition.

I am hoping my bubbly and transparent personality will help other mothers open up about their experiences so I can support the MNVP to enhance future mothers pregnancy journey and postnatal experiences.
