What is family nurse partnership?

The Family Nurse Partnership Programme is a home visiting programme providing weekly and fortnightly visits (between one to 1 ½ hours approximately per visit), which will enable care to be flexible and to meet individual needs. The aim is to improve antenatal health, child health and development and parents’ economic self sufficiency.

Each programme visit includes structured conversations and activities to improve self efficacy, supporting clients to recognise their own strengths and goals, enable behaviour changes and building positive attachments. The Family Nurse will also be signposting the young parents to other agencies and groups who could help them with a specific issue.

Our Team Vision: Helping young parents in Northamptonshire be the best parents they would like to be.
